Grammar Level JK: “Deer”
Ready for School
Ages 4-5
Letters and Sounds: Level JK students are gently introduced to the letters of the alphabet and their sounds through daily oral recitation, flash card drills, circle time, letter coloring books and crafts.
Numbers: Level JK students are gently introduced to counting and number formation through oral recitation, daily calendar time, manipulatives, and number coloring books.
Pencil Grip: In preparation for Level A, our JK students learn to hold their pencils properly as they write their numbers and letters in their “Number” and “Alphabet” workbooks. Students improve their fine motor skills through an assortment of manipulatives and crafts.
Latin: JK students learn fun Latin conversational phrases and Latin songs.
Read Aloud Literature: Our JK program is full of beautiful and classic read-aloud literature that includes picture books, poetry, and the Bible.
Music & Games: JK students learn many songs throughout the year. They also learn to play a number of traditional games such as “Red Light, Green Light,” “Simon Says,” and “Duck, Duck, Goose.”
Subjects to be covered at home: Life Skills, physical fitness, fine arts, family discipleship and spiritual formation.
