Ages 12-14

Starting in our Logic Level, Mountain Scholars instruction is delivered by Wilson Hill Academy.  

Wilson Hill Academy is an online, accredited classical school that offers superb, live-instruction classes for middle-schoolers through high school.  

Courses for Logic Students

One Language Arts Course:  Language Arts 7 or Language Arts 8

One Math Course:  Pre-Algebra or Algebra

One Latin Course: Latin 1 or Latin 2

One History Course:  The Great Conversation 1 or The Great Courses 2

One Science Course from Science Shepherd: Fundamentals of Physics or Fundamentals of Chemistry

One P.E. Course using SPARK P.E. 

Teacher Support

Our classroom teacher provides robust support for Logic students to build their study skill and confident as the prepare for high school. Logic students are provided the following:

  • Weekly assignments lists and due dates for each online course. 
  • Proctoring of tests as time allows and/or notifications to parents that a take-home test will need proctoring. 
  • Time management coaching to help students learn to work smart and efficiently, and keep assignment deadlines. 
  • Printing of weekly materials as needed: tests, worksheets, study guides, etc. 
  • Communication to Wilson Hill Teachers and parents as needed. 
  • Grade checks and alerts to parents and students if assignments have received a low score or are missing or late. 
  • Maintenance of a quiet and focused work environment. 
  • Accountability for materials management and work space organization
  • Creation of a Christ-centered culture and community of kindness, respect, and joy
