OVERVIEW

The Mountain Scholars Rhetoric Program constitutes grades 9th-12th and is named for the final academic phase of a classical education, the Rhetoric stage. In the Rhetoric stage, students take the knowledge and skills that they have learned in the Grammar and Logic stages and apply them to solve difficult problems, to become self-aware and to express what they think through speech and writing.

Rigorous coursework, emphasis on independent work, and self-directed study set the Rhetoric program apart from other Mountain Scholars classrooms.
